Install hashcat on Mac OSX

About the App

Install the App

  1. Press Command+Space and type Terminal and press enter/return key.
  2. Run in Terminal app:
    ruby -e "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)" < /dev/null 2> /dev/null ; brew install caskroom/cask/brew-cask 2> /dev/null
    and press enter/return key. Wait for the command to finish.
  3. Run:
    brew cask install hashcat

Done! You can now use hashcat.

    it also doesn’t work with just the:

    brew cask install hashcat
    Error: Cask ‘hashcat’ is unavailable: No Cask with this name exists.

    here is the full error

  • So sorry.. one last note… hashcat-3.6.0 in installed in /libexec on 10.13.1
